Currently a member of Galasaray of the of the Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL), and coming off of a strong season in which he averaged over 15 points per game and was named to the All-Champions League second team, Akoon-Purcell is no stranger to international basketball success. In fact, Akoon-Purcell famously led the Danish side Bakken Bears of the Basketligean and FIBA Europe Cup to a championship in his very first season with the club, earning both the league’s finals and overall MVP honors. After 2 dominant seasons for the Bears, Akoon-Purcell joined the Denver Nuggets NBA Summer League roster ahead of the 2018 Las Vegas Summer League, earning himself a two-way contract with the team. Also with successful stints playing for other NBA organizations such as the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Denver Nuggets, there is no telling where Akoon-Purcell’s unquestioned talent will take him next.

Turkish giant Galatasaray is led by leading scorer and veteran of the BCL Devaughn Akoon-Purcell. Akoon-Purcell, 28, is far from considered a stranger to the competition. This season, he has produced 21.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.8 steals per Champions League contest.
